- 3–4 lbs beef brisket
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2–3 sprigs fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the brisket with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the brisket in a large Dutch oven until browned.
- Remove the brisket and set aside on a plate.
- Sauté the chopped onions and minced garlic until softened.
- Combine the brisket with the onions and garlic, add beef broth and fresh herbs.
- Cover the pot and transfer it to the oven.
- Braise for about 3-4 hours until tender.
- Let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Pair with creamy mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables. Great as leftovers!
