1 cup matcha powder - 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup strawberries, pureed
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Mix softened butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in the egg.
- Add matcha powder and flour gradually, mixing until smooth.
- Press the mixture into the greased baking dish.
- Bake the mixture for 15-20 minutes until set. Let cool completely.
- Whip the heavy cream until thickened, then fold in strawberry puree and powdered sugar.
- Spread the strawberry mixture over the cooled matcha base.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Slice into bars and serve chilled.
Notes
For deeper matcha flavor, use ceremonial grade matcha. Experiment with different fruit purees for variations.
