- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 can apple pie filling
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add the softened butter and egg to the dry mix. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls and press them into the cups of a muffin tin.
- Spoon the apple pie filling into each cup.
- Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let the cups cool for a few minutes. Dust them with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
These cups can be served warm with vanilla ice cream or drizzled with caramel sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
